Before joining ABB, he was responsible for the development of state-of-the-art two-stroke and four-stroke marine diesel and dual-fuel engines at WinGD and AVL List.

Stamatis came from a seafaring family and began his career following his father’s footsteps by sailing as an engineer onboard tanker vessels. He holds degrees in Marine Engineering from the Merchant Marine Academy of Macedonia, Greece and in Mechanical & Marine Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University, UK.”

Jesper Arvidsson is a Marine Engineer who joined MAN Diesel and Turbo in 1988.
Prior to employment at MDT he was a sea-going Marine Engineer with experiences in a variety of different vessels such as container ships, gas and oil tankers.
Employed at MAN Diesel 1988 as a Technical Sales Manager for Two Stroke parts (Germany).
Transferred 1992 to the Operation department as Superintendent Engineer.
Specialized test- and commissioning engineer of new engines on factory test beds and commissioning and testing of engines on ship yards world-wide including ship sea trials and delivery tests.
Stationed for shorter or longer periods at various MDT locations, mainly USA.
Since 2005 specialized Engineer on abatement and reduction technologies for two stroke engines including SOx, NOx and PM reduction techs and combination plants as well as emission measurements and certification.
Vast experience in on-board testing of abatement techs.
Involved from MDT side in development, installation and certification of the first commercial scrubber plants for shipping and many more plants since then.
Holds MAN Diesel seat in EGCSA (Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems Association).

Julien Bec is graduated in 1999 from Ecole Centrale Paris with a Double Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Physics. He has started its career as Engine Engineer during 8 years, followed by another 8 years among one of the leading Oil & Gas OEM setting up new partnerships and new production facilities around the world.
He joined Gaztransport & Technigaz in 2015 as Key Account Manager for Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Industries. In November 2016 he was appointed Vice-President for the LNG as Marine Fuel Directorate.

Spyros Flessas, born in 1985 in Piraeus, completed his studies in NTUA (thesis on LNG) and MSc from University of Southampton, works with Alfa Laval for the past 6years. In the past, he worked as Inspecting Engineer in Ship repairs for 2 years, worked as Sales Engineer for Marine ancillary equipment technical sales (ropes, wire ropes etc) and participated in NB project in China and junior engineer. Within Alfa Laval holds the position of Regional Sales Manager and Service Operation Supervisor, when on the same time has been trained in Sweden regarding the 2020 0,5% Sulphur Fuels and Alfa Laval’s proposals and recommendations about their handling. Day to day business in Alfa Laval includes customer relations, technical troubleshooting, Project Management and Engineering, Service Engineers’ coordination and training, International Marine Service Supervising.

Charalampos (Haris) Giantzikisholds a High National Diploma (HND) in naval architecture, a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering from City University of New York. 
He launched his career in 1979 as assistant superintendent engineer at A. Halcoussis.He worked as superintendent engineer at Tsakos Shipping, Piraeus (1987-1991) and as senior superintendent engineer at Seven Seas Maritime in London (1991-2001). He was fleet manager at Marmaras  Navigation (2001-2002) and technical manager at Tsakos Shipping (2002-2005).From 2005 to date he holds the position of technical manager at Arcadia Shipmanagement. 
He is member of ABS European Technical Committee, Bureau Veritas Hellenic Marine Technical Committee, DNV GL Greek Technical Committee, Lloyd’s Register Hellenic Technical Committee, Class NK Greek Technical Committee and is a member of the MARTECMA council.

Stavros Hatzigrigorisis the current Managing Director of Maran Gas Maritime Inc., a position which he has held since 2003. For the years 1992 to 2012 he held the position of Managing Director of Maran Tankers Management Inc. Stavros joined Anangel Shipping Enterprises S.A. in 1981 as a Superintendent Engineer.

He holds a B.Sc. degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from University College London, an M.Sc. degree in Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and has studied Management of Ship Operations in the University of Strathclyde.

He is Chairman of MARTECMA, a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineers and has served as one of the SNAME International Vice Presidents. He is a member of the ABS Technical Committee, the Chairman of the DNV-GL Technical Committee and a member of the Greek Technical Committees of LRS, KR and CCS.

Dimitrios A. Heliotis, is the COO and Technical Director of Piraeus-based Target Group comprising Target Marine SA and Horizon Tankers Limited SA, a position he has held since April 2014. 
He joined Target in 1999 as fleet manager and new building project manager and between then and becoming group technical director in 2005 he was responsible for projects in South Korea’s Hyundai HI, STX, SPP, Samsung HI, Sungdong, Onomichi and Tsuneishi in Japan as well as Sinopacific Shipbuilding in China. 
On obtaining an MSc in Air Transport Engineering and Management at Cranfield Institute of Technology (UK) to go with a B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hull, (UK) he initially worked as an independent consultant and surveyor. 
In 1993 he joined Elkco Marine Consultants, before joining marine consulting firm Marinecare Ltd and, from 1996 to joining Target, he was a superintendent engineer for Navitas Co S.A a bulk carrier operator.

Frode Helland-Evebø holds a bachelor degree in Electrical Power Engineering and Industrial Marketing.
He has since 1994 held different positions within international sales and business management / development in companies like Clean Marine, Honeywell, Consilium, Zenitel and the Scana group. Frode joined Pacific Green Marine Technologies in 2019 as Vice President Global Sales and is heading the Oslo office. His main task is develop the Exhaust Gas Cleaning System business for their ENVI-Marine product.
Frode was until April this year a Board Member in the Norwegian Maritime Exporters (NME), an organisation fully owned by its member companies; comprising around 100 Norwegian suppliers and manufacturers of high quality products and services to ship owners and shipyards worldwide, with agents in more than 130 countries

Dr Kokarakis a 1979 graduate of National Technical University of Athens, holds PhD (1986) and Masters degrees in Naval Architecture (1983) and Mechanical Engineering (1984) from the University of Michigan. 
He worked for over ten years as a consultant undertaking technical problems worldwide. His specialization was in the area of technical investigation of marine accidents. In his capacity as a forensic engineer he participated in the technical investigation of the Exxon Valdez grounding, the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, the drillship Sea-Crest capsize, the Piper Alpha fire and explosion, the Aleutian Enterprise foundering in Alaska as well as many other accidents of less notoriety. 
The last twenty years he works in Greece, in the area of classification. He is today the Technical Director of Bureau Veritas in the Hellenic and Black Sea & Zone, responsible for the smooth technical operation in the Zone as well as in the harmonic cooperation with the BV offices worldwide to the benefit of the BV clients. 
He is a member of SNAME since 1976 and a Fellow of the Society. He served in various capacities, being currently the Chairman of the Greek Section since 2014.

Panos Mitrou, Global Gas Segment Manager, Lloyd’s Register
Panos Mitrou has been with LR for more than 14 years and currently holds the position of Global Gas Segment Manager, based in Piraeus. 
He primarily focuses on areas like the seaborne gas supply chain and Gas Ships, LNG and other gas as  fuel, as well as gas floating solutions, leading the delivery of an enhanced service portfolio to the shipping community. He has held commercial and technology positions since 2012 and has been deeply involved in the setup and materialization of several funded projects related to alternative fuels and innovation in the maritime sector. Since 2013, he has initiated Poseidon Med, a key cross-border European project, introducing LNG bunkering in Easter Mediterranean marine transportation.
During his seven year service with Lloyd’s Register Piraeus Technical Support Office, he has dealt with series of statutory and other reviews, ranging from BWM to MARPOL and the IBC and IGC Codes. In this context he has supported and lead the implementation of several pieces of new legislation. Since 2007 he has represented Lloyd’s Register in a number of international forums, conferences and projects.
Panos holds a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer Diploma from NTUA and an MBA in Shipping from ALBA Business School. He is currently a PhD candidate in Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering, at University of Strathclyde with focus on optimizing the shipping decarbonization pathway.

Born in 1971, he obtained the laurea degree in Electronic Engineer in 1996 and PhD in Electronic Engineering and Information Science in 2001.
From 2001 to 2013 he worked at CETENA, the research centre of FINCANTIERI Shipyard. He left CETENA as Head of Monitoring System Business Unit with the responsability to deliver to customers monitoring systems on board for safety, energy efficiency and condition based maintenance.
In 2013 he joined RINA Services in the Marine Business Solutions and developed a brand new an Performance Management tool installed on several ships that provides unique big data advantage to fleet management.
He has also attended "EU MRV Monitoring Subgroup" and "Air Emissions from Ships Group" in the European Sustainable Shipping Forum as IACS member.
He is currently Marine Digital and Innovation Director in RINA Services in charge for the development of marine digital services on RINA CUBE platform.

Mr GeorgProcopiou is the founder of Sea Traders SA, Dynacom Tankers Management Ltd, and DynagaLtd.
• Holding a degree in civil engineerinfrom the National Technical Universitof Athens, Mr Procopiou has managed over thyears a shipping fleet in excess of 500 vessels since first entering the shipping business in 1971 by purchasing one third of avessel.
• Since 2002, he has built more than 120 vessels at shipyards in Japan, South Koreand China.
• In 2005 Dynacom waawarded Tanker Company of the Year award bLloydsList.

Started carrier in maritime sector 12-years ago when joined Radio Holland Greece S.A as projects engineer, preparing complete technical proposals-documentations for retrofit & NB projects of navigation and communication systems of various electronics manufacturers.  Grasping experience from numerous projects, moved to Furuno Hellas S.A in 2010 as sales engineer, aiming to assist the company’s growth & increase the market share, by providing the best pre & after sales support to the Greek shipping companies, together with whole Team. In 2012 proposed and established the projects dpt, as Sales & Projects Dpt Supervisor, streamlining the processes and be ready for the big demand of new carriage requirements ahead . Now this infrastructure is assisting our R&D dpt for the new innovative solutions which we believe shall be adopted by our respected customers.
Today I hold the position of Account Manager DEEPSEA being responsible also for other market segments such as Environmental (Weather meteorological monitoring systems using Radar), Coastal Monitoring, & Navigational equipment training (simulators)

Since 2004 he is appointed at the Hellenic Organization for StandardizationCommittee 66 foPetroleuProducts, bthe Hellenic Chamber of  Shipping.
Bill is a co-Authoof 'MarineFuels', a specialized book in shipping, published in Jun2008 and the main authoothnew edition published in 2018.
Durinthe las1years, Bill has given several presentations and training courses on all fuel- related issues and has alsbeen involved in major bunker claims as a fuel expert.
From October 1st2015, Bill joined Bureau Veritas as Business Development Manager fothnewly established department of VeriFuel - Marine Fuel Services.

George Teriakidis is a naval architect and currently holds the position of Regional Business Development Manager in DNV GL Greece.

He studied in the university of Newcastle Upon Tyne in UK, naval architecture (B.Eng.) and continued his studies with a master degree (M.Sc.) on Ship Production Technology in the university of Strathclyde, in Glasgow.

Upon completing his studies he started working for the classification society DNV as a trainee surveyor in Dubai, U.A.E.. Till 2008 he became a senior surveyor and got specialised in the surveys of various ship types. He also became responsible for the CAP service in Middle East and India as well as a deputy manager for the DNV Maritime Service Centre of Dubai. During August 2008 he moved to Greece and started dealing with business development and customer service management for shipping as well as oil & gas. Since the merger of DNV and GL (2013) he has been working as the Regional Business Development Manager, responsible for the region of East Mediterranean, Black and Caspian Sea. In June 2019 he was appointed Area Manager, East Mediterranean & Black Sea. He has delivered various presentations and participated in various conferences.

He is married and has one daughter. Beyond his family, he loves music, movies and photography.

Dimitris Theodossiou is the co-founder and the managing director of Danaos Management Consultants S.A. Dimitris graduated as Naval Architect and Marine Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens. He holds a Master’s Degree in Marine Engineering (with distinction) from the University of London. Post graduate studies in Computer Science and Industrial Marketing. Dimitris’ experience is in the development of systems to support ship management and streamline commercial operations in the areas of fleet performance and statutory compliance.

He has served as Director of Public Sector Sales and Director of Technology at Microsoft Hellas, where he worked for eight years and, more recently, he was the CEO of Propulsion Analytics for more than 4 years, where he was also the Co-Founder. He holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University, Boston, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London.
